Donna Peppina pastry shop was founded
in the distant 1924, by Mrs
Finocchiaro Giuseppa (whose name comes from, Donna Peppina) and it
was the first bar in Zafferana Etnea, a small summer resort on
the slopes of Mount Etna.
At the beginning, Donna Peppina runs the bar alone and after
a while her nephew, Mr Coco Giuseppe joints her up to 1988 when he decided
to sell the business.

In 1999 some young entrepreneurs buy the shop and with
a strong will they attract the best clientele.
In order to get this, they use a simple strategy: specialised personnel,
good quality products and good service. |
 |
Today these new owners consider themselves satisfied and continue
to work with passion and dedication.
These are their typical products: the skier's biscuit, the
inimitable Sicilian pizza, almond, hazelnut,
pistachio, pine seeds and lemon cookies, the
cannoli with ricotta, the Sicilian cassata, the almond
leaves and marzipan (frutta martorana); they are all hand-made
with no preservatives added.

At the shop you can also find the fresh fruit "granite" and ice-creams.
The new management also delivers their products in 24/48 hours, both in Italy and abroad. |
 |
Donna Peppina pastry shop is also involved in banquet organization,
in old palaces and beautiful villas, aiming to make all celebrations unforgettable. |
