The Etnina organic agriculture company is situated in Zafferana Etnea, a town 1300 meters above sea level, in the contrada of Cassone hinterland of Etna Park. The volcanic soil and mountain climate allow the cultivation of products with characteristic flavours and aromas. In particular, the cultivation of apples is exalted by the favourable climate, the ideal sunlight, with the resulting enviable fragrance and full and natural flavour. The altitude also has a positive contribution to the quality and conservability of the fruit; the increase of which, also improves the organic characteristics (colour, flavour, aroma, pulp consistency) and confers special healthy virtues, thanks to the increase in poliphenolic content and especially content of flavanoids, the concentration of which is favoured by the action of the ultraviolet rays.
